At Snyder Construction Group, a significant portion of our work is dedicated to affordable housing through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, which promotes the development of affordable housing for multi-family units. Our contributions to the affordable housing market play a crucial role in preserving communities and ensuring the availability and expansion of affordable living options.

From preconstruction and working with developers during the application phase, we understand the importance of having a clear understanding of the project scope, along with accurate budgeting and planning from the outset. Once a project is awarded, our team is fully equipped to deliver it on schedule and within budget. Our experience and continued work in RAD conversion and acquisition/rehabilitation type projects is a testament to our team’s understanding of the process, necessary planning and collaboration to ensure successful execution.

Current Projects

Currently, we have seven affordable housing projects under construction, totaling nearly 1,500 units across Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee, and Texas. We have eleven affordable housing projects in preconstruction, totaling over 1,700 units. Our current projects are a mix of conversations and new construction, partnering with multiple developers.

Here are a few examples:

Wellington Family Homes – Wellston, MO

• This initiative is a community reinvestment expected to have a significant and lasting economic impact on the City of Wellston. With 186 units, modernization efforts will include fully renovated apartments with compliant accessibility features and an updated leasing office. Additional amenities and upgrades include new paint, flooring, and cabinets; new roofs and windows; bathroom renovations and plumbing, kitchen rehabilitation, and sidewalk repair.

Memphis Towers – Memphis, TN

• The project scope encompasses comprehensive interior renovations, targeted MEP system upgrades, and exterior enhancements. With 380,000 square feet and 826 units, this is a phased project, with tenants remaining in the building during renovations. Several floors will be turned over for construction in stages.

Salina RAD – Salina, KS

• This project entails renovating and restoring the interior and exterior of 118 dwelling units across 108 buildings, totaling 92,000 square feet. Our work includes new flooring, paint, trim, select doors, complete siding replacement, select appliances, light fixtures, and plumbing fixtures. We're excited to upgrade over 100 housing units for families in this bustling urban hub in central Kansas.

Remnant at Greenwood – McKinney, TX

• This project involves new construction, developing 17 buildings across 2 sites, comprising 96 housing units on 97,699 square feet. The development aims to provide high-quality residential options available within the area that will significantly improve and add value to the McKinney community.
