The owners' love letter to their city...
Location: Springfield, MO
The four-story historic building has witnessed over 100 years of change in downtown Springfield, Missouri, but nothing quite like the development into Springfield's first boutique hotel by the McQueary family. The building served as a Masonic Temple for over 75 years, and a renovation was done in the 1980's that turned most of the building into office space, keeping the ballroom on the fourth floor intact. Most recently, the building has been re-imagined into a thriving center-city destination for locals and travelers alike.
The hotel features 50 rooms, meeting spaces, a ballroom and a full service kitchen and bar. Visible today are many intricate details, modern materials contrasting against original materials and 100-year-old reclaimed wood, cast iron pillars and brick walls. An addition was constructed to allow for the varying suites and meeting spaces and an over-sized "V" stands proudly at the cantilevered edge of the addition.
The project is LEED Silver certified, another reason why we were chosen as the commercial contractor and general contractor in Springfield, Missouri, for this project.
