Education Construction: What Sets Snyder Apart
For more than 40 years, Snyder Construction Group has been planting roots in the Southwest Missouri area. From healthcare facilities to multi-family housing developments, we love to see our community thriving in the projects we build.
Nowhere is this more apparent than in our work in the education construction sector. Snyder Construction Group has successfully completed many education construction projects in Southwest Missouri, including K-12 and higher education facilities, and we have two projects currently underway.
It takes experience and specialized skills to excel at education construction. In today’s blog post, we’d like to share what sets Snyder Construction Group apart as a leader in the industry.
Education Construction: Snyder’s Approach
For 40 years, we’ve had the chance to perfect our approach to both new construction as well as additions and renovation work. There are several aspects of the process where we excel:
Delivery Method
More and more, we are seeing our partners in the education construction sector move toward a Construction Management at Risk (CMR) delivery method over a Design-Bid-Build (DBB) approach. The Snyder Construction Group team has extensive experience with this process, as the majority of our clients in the private sector use this delivery method and process.
Construction Process
At Snyder Construction Group, we deliver top-quality preconstruction services to ensure a smooth process from inception to completion. We use value engineering with the owner and design team and engage trade partners to bring the costs down while maintaining design intent. Our clients benefit from early construction input during design, budget, and planning phases, increasing efficiency.
Safety and Security
Many of our education construction projects are new additions and renovations; thus, they work in occupied buildings. The Snyder Construction Group team is highly experienced at working within occupied spaces, and safety and security are our top priorities. We also work with building administrators to ensure there are no interruptions in the daily use of the building.
Education Construction Projects In Progress
The Snyder Construction Group team is proud to showcase a few of our education construction projects currently in progress:
SPS AgAcademy Agricultural Magnet School

A collaboration between Springfield Public Schools and Missouri State University, this beautiful, modern building will house AgAcademy, an agricultural magnet school for fourth through sixth grade chosen via a random lottery.
The 16,500 square foot AgAcademy building will feature a custom-designed learning environment including classrooms, labs, a demonstration kitchen, outdoor garden beds, and greenhouses.

Additions will include training rooms for teachers and staff, as well as meeting spaces.
