Snyder Construction Group Named Area’s Largest Commercial General Contractor by Springfield Business Journal

Snyder Construction Group has been recognized by the Springfield Business Journal as the area’s largest commercial general contractor, marking another major milestone for the company and the communities it serves throughout the region.

The recognition reflects years of steady growth, long-term client relationships, and a project portfolio that continues to expand across affordable housing, healthcare, warehouse and distribution, and commercial construction. Snyder has served the Midwest since 1978, and its current public portfolio spans healthcare, corporate, industrial and manufacturing, civic and community, general commercial, and multifamily work.

Recent signature work includes the new Children’s Mercy with Mercy Pediatric Clinic in Springfield, the ForvisMazars Office Headquarters renovation in downtown Springfield, the O’Reilly Automotive Distribution Center, Hill City Church, Southern Hills Shopping Center, and high-profile affordable housing developments in multiple states. The O’Reilly distribution center project transformed a 294,000-square-foot building into a modern distribution facility featuring a 29,000-square-foot AutoStore system, while the Children’s Mercy clinic is a new two-story, approximately 40,000-square-foot pediatric outpatient facility.
