Snyder Construction Group Partners with Developers on New Dual-Branded Marriott Hotel
Snyder Construction Group has been collaborating with the hospitality industry all over the Midwest as several brands have expanded their footprint. One such project just kicked off with a groundbreaking in Sikeston, Missouri, for a unique, dual-brand hotel in the same building.
102-Room Hotel Along the Interstate 57 Corridor in Southeast Missouri
The dual-branded Marriott hotel will combine Fairfield Inn on one side and TownePlace Suites on the other. In between the wings will be the common area that both brands share. Fairfield Inn is designed for business travelers with separate living and working areas, while TownePlace Suites offers extended-stay accommodations with fully equipped kitchens in each room. The hotel will feature 52 rooms in the Fairfield Inn and 49 TownePlace Suites. Additionally, the hotel plans to have a bar area available for guests during evening hours.
I-57 has plans to expand in the coming decade. With Sikeston’s continued growth, Marriott International believes this project is a perfect launching pad for its dual-branded hotel concepts, catering to two demographic segments in one place. It’s one of the first dual-brand hotels for Marriott, where people staying in either hotel can share common amenities.
Marriott’s newest project is a massive investment for the area as part of a growing hospitality and retail segment that’s adjacent to the property of this hotel. It will bring employment opportunities and a place to stay for travelers between Chicago and New Orleans or people staying in the city for business or visiting relatives.
Marriott International identified this project as eligible for its Bridging the Gap program, a multi-year, $50 million development initiative to address the barriers to entry that historically underrepresented groups face in owning and developing hotels in North America.
Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective is the architect of this project, and their hospitality studio is also doing the interior design. .
