One aspect of our work includes LIHTC, a program that fosters affordable housing construction for multifamily units.
The work we do in the affordable housing market is critical in the role of preserving communities, it is essential for maintaining and increasing affordable options. One of them is Keystone Family Homes, based in Springfield, Missouri.
What is Keystone Family Homes?
Keystone Family Homes comprises 297 multifamily units across six different properties throughout Springfield. The community has unit sizes anywhere from one to five bedrooms, and some communities have support services to help residents live independently.
What is the scope of our work with Keystone Family Homes?
Snyder Construction Group served as the general contractor, overseeing the rehabilitation and upgrade of all 297 units. New siding went on some multifamily units, while others needed new roofs and complete interior remodels.
Snyder Construction Group coordinated every upgrade, including:
New flooring, paint, cabinets, and countertops
Energy-efficient appliances and fixtures
New shingle, siding, doors and windows
How is this LIHTC project important to Snyder Construction Group’s mission?
Our team builds partnerships that last. One of those partnerships includes a partnership with the communities in which we build.
The Keystone Family Homes development contributed 487 construction jobs and 19 permanent jobs to the Springfield community, providing income for hardworking families and small businesses.
The rehabilitation project upgraded and modernized homes with new kitchens and bathrooms, including upgraded flooring, cabinetry, millwork, and appliances. Modern kitchens and bathrooms help our community live better lives, especially in the room that serves as the heart of the home where families cook nutritious meals.
We also worked with several skilled trades contractors, including roofers, plumbers, electricians, siders, carpenters, flooring installers, and woodworkers.
It took many members of our community to come together to strengthen and modernize these properties to help families live better in our city.
